My name is Jean Simons. I’m a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, and health coach. I’m also a former lawyer who just turned 60!

My work focuses especially on women at midlife. I get it: hormones, hot flashes, weight gain, joint stiffness, and re-examining what's important in life.

My clients and I have found that exercising regularly, especially building up your strength, addresses many of the challenges of midlife. And eating better can boost those benefits even further.

All you need is a coach. I'll be your guide and your nudge. I'll design fun and challenging exercise sessions geared to your specific goals and issues (and we all have issues). And if you want, we'll also work together to help you make healthier food choices even if you hate kale or chia.

For more on my credentials, see below. Check out the My Philosophy page for more about my approach, and the Services menu for the specific programs I offer—from individual training sessions to group workshops.

I also teach fitness and nutrition classes to homeless and low income women in the Washington DC area. Visit my Community page to learn more.

I live in DC with my husband and the youngest of my three daughters.
